Orthopaedica Belgica Congress 2020

Dear colleagues, participants and friends,

Due to the recent accelerations regarding the COVID – 19 outbreak we were forced to postpone the Orthopaedica Belgica conference in Ghent, Belgium.

We are now hopeful to be able to organise the Orthopedica Belgica congress on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 November 2020 in the beautiful and historic city of Ghent.

The theme of the meeting remains “Lifetime sports and Orthopaedics: injury, surgery and recovery“.

There will be plenary sessions on Lifetime Sports, Trauma and Arthroplasty. On Friday afternoon we will have an interactive session on “Inspiring stories of athlete’s recoveries”. In addition, plenty of instructional course meetings will be organised by the National Subgroups.

We live in uncertain times and are uncertain about the further evolution of the pandemic and the restrictions on events imposed by the government. Organizations for 200 people can currently go indoors and we hope that this number will increase by November. If not, we will look for alternative formulas so that we can offer our members a valuable conference in 2020.
